Tuition & Financial Aid:

St. Mary of the Angels School is a tuition-based program. Below are the tuition rates for the 2016-2017 school year. PreK Full Day: 5 Day – $7,757 3 Day- $6,995 K-8: 1 child – $7,036 2 children- $13,017 3 Children- $16,359 4 Children- $19,702 Tuition Payment System: St. Mary of the Angels utilizes FACTS Management System for tuition payments, financial aid assessment and school management. Every family enrolled at SMA is required to set up a personal FACTS account for tuition & after-school payments. After-School Athenaeum: For your convenience, there are four options for you to choose from and three pricing schedules based upon the number of children you enroll. Option A: 4-5 days per week with pick-up after 5:00 p.m. Option B: 4-5 days per week with pick-up by 5:00 p.m. Option C: Up to 3 days per week regardless of pick-up time. Option D: 1 to 4 days per month regardless of pick-up time.

Application Fee: There is a $100 application fee, to be made payable to St. Mary of the Angels School. Your application will not be processed until application fee is received.

Discounts

PreK Sibling Discount: Families with students enrolled in both the PreK and K-8 program or with two or more Pre K students will receive a discount of $500. Full Payment Discount: Families who submit a one-time full payment of the year’s tuition will receive a 5% discount. Tuition Payment Process: St. Mary of the Angels School uses FACTS, the nation’s leading provider of tuition payment plans. All families must create a FACTS online tuition payment account in order to be considered fully enrolled at St. Mary of the Angels School. Tuition Payment: Full and timely payment is essential to the operation of the school. We cannot remain a vital and productive institution without prompt payment by our families. Late or incomplete payments will incur late fees and disciplinary action by school administration. Mandatory Fundraising: Each family is required to contribute an annual amount of $250. All annual contributions are due by May 30, 2017. For families on the 10-month payment plan, any unpaid fundraising contribution balance will be added to the final tuition payment. Payment of these fees can be made directly or through authorized school fundraising events. Mandatory Volunteer Service Hours: Each family is asked to volunteer 12 hours of their time to make Saint Mary of the Angels a great school for their children. If unable to complete these service hours, families may opt to pay for the time. Each hour of volunteer service is valued at $15. Families may pay for all or any portion of the volunteer service hours. Financial Aid: “The mission of St. Mary of the Angels School is to work collaboratively with parents, the primary educators of their children, to provide for the spiritual, intellectual, moral and physical development of our students.” In keeping with the spirit of our mission, the administration of St. Mary of the Angels School works with our families to meet the needs of every student. We strive to maintain affordable tuition rates for all families so that no child is refused a quality Catholic education due to financial need. Our annual K-8 per-student cost of $8,175 exceeds what we require in tuition, meaning every student attending St. Mary of the Angels school receives some assistance from our generous benefactors. The policies outlined below are for families seeking further tuition assistance. Applications for tuition assistance are only accepted after a family has registered for and been accepted to St. Mary of the Angels School. In adherence to the policies and mandates of the Archdiocese of Chicago, all families must contribute monetarily, to some degree, to their child(ren)’s Catholic education. Full tuition assistance is not available in order to accommodate all school families seeking assistance. Current school families are considered first for tuition assistance. Families with incomplete or late applications cannot be guaranteed assistance. Funds for tuition assistance are limited and are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. All families who receive tuition assistance must reapply along with registration for each new school year. Submitted applications will be reviewed by FACTS, an objective third party organization. If a family has questions concerning FACTS and these results, a meeting with the school principal may be arranged to discuss the matter. Meetings with the Pastor may only be arranged after this first meeting, and all meetings with the Pastor will also be attended by the principal. Zich_0466
