St. Mary of the Angels School Garden will be a part of the 2010 Bucktown Garden Walk!

The walk will be held on July 10 and 11 from 11 am- 5pm Please join us for a walk in our neighborhood and explore the 100 private and public gardens which are carefully tended by our residents.

Walk to a wide variety of gardens or take the free trolley to another part of our one mile square neighborhood to begin your exploration.

Some gardens are packed full of flowering species, others create tranquil spaces in our hectic city. Water features, ponds and koi, sculptures and rocks are all elements of these gardens. The gardeners are generous to let you see their efforts, please be respectful of the plantings. While you stroll in the neighborhood also take note of some of the other places you pass, gardens, shops, public spaces, and places to catch a bite or a beverage. We are proud of our gardens and of our community.

Be sure to stop by 1810 N. Hermitage Ave. and see the garden grown by our very own students!

Summertime Bake Sales and Car Washes to raise $3,000 for CDI Resideny!

Attention Students and Parents! CDI is coming BACK to SMA, but we need your help! In order to cover the costs and expenses for a CDI residency next November, we need to raise $3,000 before October 1. We can do this! CDI is expanding next year, from 2nd-7th grade, and we are asking for your help over the summer months so that we can meet our goal.

We have scheduled Bake (and Lemonade) Sales and Car Washes throughout the summer months. We are asking that students and parents sign-up to help on weekends that they are available so that our students do not miss the AMAZING opportunity to work with CDI once again. Look over the schedule and let Ms. Elise know when you are available to pitch in. Join us for one, or all!

SMA is open all summer long! We welcome parents to come and see what SMA has to offer! Tour facilities, meet with staff, faculty, current parents, students and have all of your questions answered!
