Every classroom, PreK 4-8th grade is outfitted with Promethean Board technology, providing an interactive technological tool compatible with our updated curriculum in Math, Science, Language Arts and language. Students use classroom computers and iPads for research projects, differentiated instruction tools and exploration.
  • Our Upper School students utilize a classroom set of iPads for research projects and individualized work.

Professional Development: Our staff is committed to being at the forefront of implementation of technology in the classroom. Professional Development throughout the summer and school year is set aside for staff to pursue new advances in technology and for development specific to the curriculum in place at St. Mary of the Angels School.

Grading & Academic Honesty: Grading at St. Mary of the Angels School is seen as a way to measure what students have learned. They should see it as a way for them to get to know themselves so as to develop ways to improve. Teachers do not use evaluations as a value judgment of the student—his or her self-worth and identity are based on relationships, not performance—but as a way to better adapt their teaching and methodology to help students grow as a whole person.
